Piper Mae Female Personal Trainer Brisbane

Meet Piper | Female Personal Trainer Brisbane

For many women in Brisbane, fitness can feel intimidating.

Maybe you’ve tried gyms that didn’t feel supportive, struggled to stay motivated, or found yourself stuck in old habits you can’t quite break.

Piper knows this feeling firsthand.

Like so many women, she knew she wanted something more but wasn’t sure how to start.

“I used to love to party a lot. I was not a very fit person. When I was at uni I used to smoke a lot of cigarettes & liked to drink and party a lot.,” she says.

Like so many women, she knew she wanted something more but wasn’t sure how to start.

From Cigarettes to Circus & now Personal Training

The turning point came during her psychology studies. “I used to have cigarette breaks in my studies and I knew that wasn’t super healthy. I was learning about addictive behavior and how to change that. I thought, okay, I’ve got to use this information as a way to change my life.”

Instead of walking outside for a smoke, Piper picked up a hula hoop.

“I would go and have a hula hooping break… practising moving my body, doing yoga for like 10 minutes, and then I’d go back and study.”

That playful swap was the first step that set her on a completely different path, one that would eventually lead to becoming a personal trainer in Brisbane.

Pain Plus Reflection Equals Growth

Change wasn’t immediate or easy. After finishing her degree, Piper realised psychology would take her into research. “It was going to be research heavy. And I’m definitely a people person, so I wanted to do something that was more with people.”

She travelled, taught circus arts, and slowly found her way into fitness and coaching. “It was interesting. I started teaching circus and then that moved into fitness and then into coaching. It felt like a natural progression but also a lot of growth.” Along the way, she learned that discipline isn’t something fixed.

“I used to not think discipline was a strong point of mine. But then I realised it was through practice.”

Why Piper Coaches Women

Through psychology she gained the science of behaviour change. Through fitness she gained the lived experience of transformation. “Psychology helped me understand behaviour change, and fitness gave me the way to apply it,” she explains.

That blend is now at the heart of her coaching. What makes Piper different is how she shows up for her clients.

“I think they connect with my energy and that I’ve been through my own struggles. I try to make it fun but also supportive. They feel seen. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel stuck and I show them they can actually move past it.”

How Piper Coaches Today

At The Evolved All Female Gym, Piper focuses on 1:1 Personal Training. Her sessions are tailored to the individual, whether it’s a beginner nervous about stepping into the gym, a busy mum wanting her energy back, or a woman in her 50s discovering that her strongest years aren’t behind her.

She helps clients replace unhelpful habits with positive ones, just as she once did. Small steps become lasting changes. With Piper, the gym becomes a place of possibility, not pressure.

What You Can Expect Training With Piper

When you train with Piper, expect to feel supported from the very first session. She’ll meet you exactly where you are, and she’ll challenge you to see what’s possible.

Her clients often find themselves achieving things they never thought they could, whether that’s lifting a barbell for the first time, committing to regular training, or finally believing in their own strength.

“Discipline isn’t something you’re born with,” she reminds clients. “It’s something you build.”

Tash, Night Shift Nurse
