Strength figures are observational medians from the same 51 women with comparable records across at least two lifts. Loaded sets use 1–12 rep estimates and an initial 14-day baseline.

Why Muscle Matters
Whether you're 25 or 65, it's not too early, and it's never too late.
Sarcopenia Starts Early
Women begin losing muscle around age 30, up to 250g per year. Without strength training, this silent decline accelerates every decade. If you're not building it, you're losing it.
Stress Hijacks Your Hormones
Chronic stress elevates cortisol, which, over time, drives fat storage, disrupts sleep, and accelerates muscle and bone loss. Strength training is one of the most effective tools for lowering chronic stress, regulating cortisol, and supporting healthy hormone balance across every decade of life.
Joints Weaken Silently
Women who train consistently have stronger hips, knees, and ankles, and dramatically lower risk of injury and osteoporosis.
Unseen Bone Loss Accelerates
Progressive strength training preserves bone density, one of the most effective long-term protections against osteoporosis.
Muscle Mass Over Time
← Drag to find your decade →
You are at or near peak muscle mass right now. The window to build your foundation is open: the habits you form now compound over decades.

How It Works
Every session, a coach in your corner.
Every woman who trains at The Evolved trains with a coach, every session, every week. No unsupervised floor time. No wondering what to do next. Just guided, progressive training with someone who knows your name, your goals, and exactly where you’re headed.
1:1 Personal Training
One coach. One member. Every session is built entirely around you, your body, your goals, your schedule. The most personalised form of training we offer, with complete coach attention from the moment you walk in.
Small Group Personal Training
Train alongside a small group of women at a similar stage, with a dedicated coach guiding every single session. You get the accountability of a community and the attentiveness of personal training. Most of our members train this way.
Whether you’ve never set foot in a gym or you’ve been training for years, every session is designed for where you are right now.
We Don't Guess. We Guide.
Real results start with real science. Our programs are built on the principles of physiology, psychology, and performance, not fads or fluff.
At The Evolved, we're not just another gym. We're a female-focused transformation studio that uses science-backed methods to help women thrive across every stage of life.
Evidence-Based, Female-Specific Programming
Strength training isn't just a workout. It's medicine for women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. Our programs are rooted in research on muscle loss (sarcopenia), bone density, and hormone stability. We adjust intensity, recovery, and protein targets for peri- and post-menopausal women to not just preserve, but rebuild strength.
Nutrition That Supports Your Biology
We provide smart meal plans for every member because a balanced approach to exercise and nutrition is essential. Our foundational nutrition habits are built around protein-first strategies, hormonal shifts, and blood sugar stability. We help you fuel your body, not restrict. You're an athlete. We teach you to perform in everyday life.
Behaviour Science Meets Strength Training
We teach the science of breaking and building new habit cycles, using identity-based change strategies and emotional regulation to help you create lasting habits, not just short-term results. From breath work to boundaries, we train the mind as much as the muscle.

How to Get Started
We open a small number of spots each month. Most women are training within 1–2 weeks of joining the list. Here’s how to be first in line.
Step 01
Join the Priority List
We open a small number of client spots each month. Priority goes to women on our email list who complete a Strength Assessment. You'll receive free access to our 30-day email series and get notified as soon as assessments open.
Step 02
Book Your Strength Assessment
A guided session with one of our female coaches, not a sales pitch. We’ll assess where you’re starting, answer your training questions honestly, and give you a clear game plan for what’s possible. You’ll leave with a realistic picture of your body and your timeframe, whether you join or not. We offer 5 per week, spots are limited.
Step 03
Secure Your Spot
If a spot is available and we're the right fit, you'll receive a personalised start plan based on your goals and lifestyle. No contracts. No pressure. Just the truth about what's possible.
We've helped hundreds of women feel strong again, and we don't rush it. We're here for quality, not volume.

Can I come and see the gym before booking a Strength Assessment? +
We understand the desire to see a space before stepping into it, especially if gyms haven't always felt welcoming. We're a small, specialist facility that runs by appointment only, so we're not set up for casual drop-ins. But what we can offer you is something far more useful: a Strength Assessment where you walk away knowing exactly what your body needs and what's genuinely possible for you.
Joining the waitlist is free, takes 30 seconds, and carries zero obligation. If a spot opens and the timing isn't right, no pressure at all. When you do come in, you'll leave with your exact starting point, a realistic picture of what's possible, and a clear timeframe to your goal, regardless of whether you join. That clarity alone is worth the visit.
How much does it cost? +
We don't give prices before we understand what you need. That would be like a doctor writing a prescription before the consultation. Pricing depends on your goals, training history, any injuries or medical conditions, and what program will actually get you there.
The Strength Assessment is where that conversation happens. You'll get a clear picture of your starting point, what we recommend, and what it costs, then you decide. No pressure, no obligation. For context: 1:1 personal training in Brisbane runs $100–$150 per hour. Our members train as many times as they like each week, across 24 timetable sessions, for less than a single 1:1 session.
What is a Strength Assessment? +
It’s a short, guided session with one of our female coaches, not a gym tour, not a sales pitch. Four things happen:
- Where are we starting? A guided strength and movement check-up. No pressure, no judgement.
- What is your next step? Personalised guidance on improving energy, posture, and physical confidence.
- Do you have concerns? Expert answers to your training or body-change questions, honestly and with no spin.
- Can we fast-track this? A clear game plan for moving forward, whether you join or not.
We offer 5 of these per week. You’ll leave with your exact starting point, a realistic picture of what’s possible, and a clear timeframe, regardless of whether you join.
Are there any joining fees? +
None. No joining fees, no admin charges, no hidden costs of any kind. The price you're quoted at your Strength Assessment is the price you pay, for your training, and nothing else. What you see is what you get.
I’m already training elsewhere. What makes this different? +
Most gyms give you a workout. It's random every week, and you're left to figure out whether it's working. At The Evolved, you get a 12-month roadmap grounded in real science and built around the longevity markers that matter for women. We start with a 1-on-1 Strength Assessment so your program is safe, sustainable, and specific to you. Our training is periodised and phased, backed by the world's leading experts in women's strength and ageing. You'll never burn out, always make progress, and feel in full control of your body.
Are there any lock-in contracts? +
No lock-ins, just a 30-day cancellation notice across all services. This gives us space to plan your training properly and gives you room to push through the tough weeks without quitting on your goals too soon.
Is this like a regular gym? +
Not at all. We're not a commercial gym with crowds, confusing equipment, or $10 swipe-and-sweat memberships. This is female-specific coaching designed for your body, stage of life, and long-term health. You'll train in small groups with expert guidance to ensure your form is perfect and you're safely pushing yourself. The atmosphere is supportive, trainers and fellow members pushing each other, not competing.
Am I too old to start strength training? +
Our youngest member is 14. Our most experienced woman is 72. We cater to all women regardless of size, shape, fitness level, or age. The group who find it hardest to build lean muscle mass are women over 40, and not coincidentally, this is the group who benefit most from properly structured strength training. Our entire system is designed around the unique needs of perimenopausal, postmenopausal, and ageing women. You'll feel stronger, move better, and stay independent, at any age.
I haven’t exercised in 10+ years… is this too advanced for me? +
Not at all. You'll begin with a Strength Assessment where we meet you exactly where you're at: no pressure, no expectations. Our beginner-friendly onboarding focuses on movement confidence, not performance. You'll feel safe, seen, and supported from Day 1. If it's been a while, we'll likely recommend our Fast Track membership, which includes one-on-one personal training each week: the best way to learn faster, adapt exercises to your body, and build confidence from scratch. You'll be working out with a group of women just like you.
I’ve had injuries or chronic pain… can I still join? +
Aches and pains stopping you from being active? Come see us first. We’ll listen, see how your symptoms respond to movement and modify your training where appropriate. If the issue needs clinical assessment, we’ll explain that clearly and help you identify the appropriate health professional. If you already have a treating practitioner, we can work alongside their advice with your permission.
Your Strength Assessment is the starting point.
One hour. A complete picture of where you are. A clear path forward.
