When Megan Brown took over The Evolved All Female Gym in 2023, it was more than a business decision.
It was about keeping a dream alive for the women of Brisbane. She had seen firsthand how much this space meant to women searching for strength, confidence, and community.
Megan refused to let that vision die with the old owners. Instead, she poured her heart into completely renewing the energy of the gym, inside and out, creating a place where women of every age could thrive.
Megan’s journey into strength coaching began long before she took ownership of The Evolved. As a former dancer, she had always been connected to movement, but life had other plans.
Between the demands of running a business and becoming a mum twice over, Megan felt the same struggles many women face. Fatigue, injuries, and the never-ending juggle of responsibilities left her wondering how to prioritise her own body without burning out.
She knows what it feels like to push through pain, to doubt whether you have the time or energy, and to want to feel like yourself again.
In 2017, just 18 months after giving birth to her second child, Megan was diagnosed with chronic fatigue. Suddenly, everything she thought she knew about training and resilience was challenged.
She had to relearn how to move, how to fuel her body properly, and most importantly, how to leave enough energy in the tank for the demands of motherhood and running a business.
This difficult chapter reshaped her entire approach to health. Instead of chasing exhaustion, Megan discovered the power of training smarter and prioritising recovery.
It became clear that true strength was not about doing more but about finding the right balance to support long-term health and energy.
Megan has been part of the fitness industry since 2013 and has owned and run body transformation businesses since 2014. Along the way, she qualified as a Metabolic Nutritionist and earned certifications in personal training and body transformation.
She sought out world-class mentorship, learning under Dr Paul Cribb PhD and Sharlene Sault, who helped refine her scientific approach to training and nutrition.
Drawing on her recovery from chronic fatigue, Megan created the FitMum Method, a program designed to help mums rebuild their strength and confidence postpartum without sacrificing their health.
Her work began to stand out across the fitness industry. In 2019, she was awarded Female Transformation Specialist of the Year, recognition of the results she was delivering and the compassion she brought to her coaching.
Megan believes strength training should fit into your life, not the other way around. Her philosophy is rooted in efficiency, injury prevention, and helping women feel in control of their bodies.
She understands the realities of fatigue, time pressures, and fluctuating energy because she has lived them herself.
Having worked with hundreds of women across Brisbane, Megan has guided clients through every stage of life: from teenage years to post-menopause.
Her coaching proves that strength training is not about punishment or extremes. It is about building a body that supports you in every season of life.
Megan’s passion for strong women extends beyond the gym. She is a proud supporter of the arts, donating regularly to the Queensland Ballet in West End, and she loyally backs Women’s Legal Service QLD, taking part in their annual River to Rooftop fundraiser.
For Megan, supporting these causes is part of the same mission she lives out every day: empowering women to stand taller, move with confidence, and live stronger lives.
At The Evolved, Megan leads by example. She coaches women to build the strength they need not only for the gym but for the rest of their lives.
Whether it is helping a new mum regain confidence, guiding a woman through perimenopause, or coaching someone toward their first personal best, Megan brings empathy, expertise, and lived experience to every session.
She knows the challenges. She has walked the path. And, she is here to make sure no woman has to do it alone.

"Postmenopause hit hard for Helen, constant fatigue, a busy home life, and the weight just wouldn’t budge. With a move, rep hockey, and full-time work, she had every reason to pause. But by committing to smart strength training at The Evolved, Helen rebuilt her body. at 54"

“After a serious health scare, Tash turned her life around. As a night-shift nurse with a Coca-Cola habit, she swapped cardio for strength training, dropped 20kg, and reclaimed her confidence, all while working nights. Now, she’s not just healthier… she’s unstoppable.”

“At 50, Vicki was training hard but getting nowhere. After just 7 weeks at The Evolved, she increased her protein, lifted smarter, and unlocked visible abs, a 60kg squat, and her first chin-up. Her secret? Recovery, strength and the right plan.”
“Leni left a clinical rehab gym at 63 to chase a younger more energetic vibe. Now she lifts 40kg, rocks her favourite black skirt to a Goo Goo Dolls concert, and feels 30 years younger. She’s proof that age doesn’t define your limits, strength does.”
