If you’ve ever felt stuck in the cycle of working, going home, collapsing on the couch, and wondering if there’s more to life, you’re not alone.
Many women in Brisbane feel exactly the same, tired, uninspired, and unsatisfied with how their body feels or what their days look like.
The truth is, finding the energy and confidence to change isn’t easy. It takes courage, support, and a guide who has walked the path herself.
That’s where Marnie comes in. As a personal trainer Brisbane women trust, Marnie knows first-hand what it feels like to be stuck, and she’s proof of what can happen when you take that first step toward change.
Marnie’s story didn’t start in a gym. It started in a mechanic’s workshop, where she was the first female apprentice. It was a tough, male-dominated environment, and instead of lifting women up, it often left her feeling small. She worked hard but felt invisible. She was reserved, shy, and constantly pushed around.
At the end of long days, she would go home and collapse into the same routine: TV, phone scrolling, and the creeping sense of dissatisfaction. She had energy for nothing, and joy was nowhere to be found.
Her turning point came when a close friend announced she was pregnant. The question hit Marnie like a bolt:
She had pushed through four years of an apprenticeship she never truly loved, just to prove she could finish. That moment was the wake-up call she needed. She quit without a plan, driven only by the certainty that there had to be something more.
The shift didn’t happen overnight. Marnie floated between jobs, unsure of what was next. Then a colleague also a personal trainer encouraged her to get into the gym. Every morning he’d ask, “Did you go to the gym today?” That gentle accountability planted the seed.
At first, she struggled. Like many women, she would start for a few weeks, stop for months, then start again. But eventually, consistency stuck.
She began to see her body change. She felt stronger, more energetic, and, for the first time, proud of what she was building. The gym stopped being a chore and became her anchor.
That transformation gave her more than a new body. It gave her self-worth, confidence, and the realisation that strength training is not about punishment, it’s about possibility.
Marnie became a personal trainer because she knows what it’s like to start from zero. She understands the frustration of stopping and starting, the guilt of “falling off track,” and the voice in your head that says you’re not good enough.
Her philosophy is simple: fitness should make you feel capable, not punished. “Some people need five sessions a week. Others just need the reminder that a bad day doesn’t mean a bad week. Exercise is not punishment, it’s a gift to yourself.”
That’s why women of all ages resonate with Marnie. She doesn’t expect perfection. She believes in progress, in finding joy in the process, and in celebrating small wins that lead to big breakthroughs.
One of Marnie’s clients, Katherine, came in unsure and hesitant with her deadlifts. Together, they worked patiently on form and confidence. Today, Katherine is lifting 40 kilos with pride.
For Marnie, it’s not about the number on the barbell, it’s about watching someone step into their own strength.
She’s also coached friends through the basics, reviewing videos of their form, breaking down movements, and celebrating their progress. “That was the moment I realised I really know what I’m talking about,” she says. “Helping someone understand their own strength is the best feeling.”
At The Evolved All Female Gym, Marnie works with women of all ages through 1:1 Personal Training. Her approach is tailored, empathetic, and rooted in her own journey.
She knows not every woman has the time or desire to train five days a week. That’s why she focuses on smart, effective strength training that fits real lives.
For many, that’s three focused sessions per week enough to build strength, improve confidence, and create lasting change without overwhelming an already busy schedule.
Marnie is patient, approachable, and practical. She helps women see that lifting heavy doesn’t make you bulky, it makes you strong. And she empowers clients to stop relying on cardio alone, instead building muscle, confidence, and resilience that carries over into every part of life.
When you train with Marnie, you can expect to be supported, encouraged, and challenged in equal measure. She’s not the kind of coach who barks orders.
She’s the coach who will remind you that tomorrow is a new day, who will help you reset when life gets messy, and who will celebrate every step of progress.
Her promise is simple: if you’re willing to take the first step, she’ll walk beside you until you see what you’re capable of.
If you’re ready to take the first step toward strength, confidence, and a body you feel proud of, Marnie would love to meet you.
The first step is a Strength Assessment at The Evolved All Female Gym.

“After a serious health scare, Tash turned her life around. As a night-shift nurse with a Coca-Cola habit, she swapped cardio for strength training, dropped 20kg, and reclaimed her confidence, all while working nights. Now, she’s not just healthier… she’s unstoppable.”

“At 50, Vicki was training hard but getting nowhere. After just 7 weeks at The Evolved, she increased her protein, lifted smarter, and unlocked visible abs, a 60kg squat, and her first chin-up. Her secret? Recovery, strength and the right plan.”
“Leni left a clinical rehab gym at 63 to chase a younger more energetic vibe. Now she lifts 40kg, rocks her favourite black skirt to a Goo Goo Dolls concert, and feels 30 years younger. She’s proof that age doesn’t define your limits, strength does.”
