If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle of wanting change but not knowing how to get there, you’re not alone.
Many women in Brisbane feel the weight of long work hours, busy family lives, and health habits that never quite stick.
Maybe you’ve tried diets, joined gyms, or followed programs online, but deep down you know something’s missing.
What you want is not just to look fitter, but to feel stronger and more confident in your own body.
That’s where Leisa, one of our dedicated personal trainers at The Evolved All Female Gym, comes in.
Her journey to becoming a coach wasn’t straightforward, it was shaped by years of struggle, self-doubt, and finally, breakthrough.
And, because she’s walked that path herself, she now has the wisdom and compassion to guide women of all ages toward the strength and confidence they’ve been searching for.
Leisa’s story didn’t begin with barbells and coaching sessions. For more than a decade she worked as a chef in Brisbane, grinding through 12–15 hour days in high-pressure kitchens. On paper it looked like a career filled with creativity and skill, but behind the scenes it was draining.
Long hours, weekend shifts, late nights, and the drinking culture that often comes with the industry began to chip away at her health.
She used fitness as an escape, sneaking in workouts when she could, but the reality was that her lifestyle and her goals were in constant conflict. Like so many women, she wanted to feel better but was stuck in a loop of stress, exhaustion, and self-doubt.
Even in those years, Leisa always found herself drawn to training. She picked up her first barbell at 17, and for years she lifted on her own, not really knowing if she was making progress. Eventually the frustration of “running in circles” pushed her to take a leap and hire a coach. That decision was a game-changer.
With guidance, structure, and accountability, she finally began to see the strength gains and confidence she had been chasing for so long. At first, it was about looking better. But, as the process unfolded, her motivation shifted toward performance, health, and energy. That shift laid the foundation for everything that came next.
Of course, the journey wasn’t easy. Leisa faced the same struggles that many women know too well, body image battles, binge eating, drinking habits, over training, and the endless pressure to “do more.” There were countless times she wanted to quit.
It was learning that progress comes from being intentional, consistent, and patient. She discovered the importance of nutrition, recovery, stress management, and mindset, not just sets and reps.
Through years of trial, coaching, and reflection, Leisa transformed. Strength training gave her more than just physical results.
It gave her the energy to wake up at 4:30 every morning, the confidence to run a marathon, and the resilience to handle life’s challenges without falling back into old habits.
Her body composition changed, her mindset evolved, and she began to trust the process instead of chasing quick fixes. That trust and consistency became her superpower.
Her body composition changed, her mindset evolved, and she began to trust the process instead of chasing quick fixes. That trust and consistency became her superpower.
For Leisa, becoming a personal trainer in Brisbane wasn’t just about changing careers. It was about sharing what she had learned with other women who felt stuck like she once did.
One of Leisa’s most rewarding coaching experiences has been working with a client named Renee, who faced breast cancer. Together they navigated her highs and lows, focusing on consistency and health above all else.
Her story with Renee is just one example of how deeply Leisa cares about her clients’ journeys. She celebrates every woman who comes in nervous to touch a barbell and leaves, months later, lifting weights they never thought possible.
At The Evolved All Female Gym, Leisa offers 1:1 personal training tailored to women of all ages. Whether you’re brand-new to strength training or have years of experience, she focuses on building consistency, confidence, and results that actually last.
Her approach goes beyond sets and reps. She helps clients align training with nutrition, stress management, and recovery. She creates an environment where women feel safe, supported, and excited to train. A far cry from the intimidating atmosphere of commercial gyms.
When you train with Leisa, you can expect:
- A safe, welcoming environment designed for women.
- Personalised guidance to help you move past plateaus.
- Support through setbacks and encouragement when you need it most.
- Consistent progress toward strength, confidence, and energy.
Her promise is simple: she’ll meet you where you are, help you take that first step, and guide you through a journey that changes far more than your body.
If you’re ready to stop running in circles and finally feel the confidence that comes from strength, Leisa is here to help. The first step is a Strength Assessment at The Evolved All Female Gym.

"Postmenopause hit hard for Helen, constant fatigue, a busy home life, and the weight just wouldn’t budge. With a move, rep hockey, and full-time work, she had every reason to pause. But by committing to smart strength training at The Evolved, Helen rebuilt her body. at 54"

“After a serious health scare, Tash turned her life around. As a night-shift nurse with a Coca-Cola habit, she swapped cardio for strength training, dropped 20kg, and reclaimed her confidence, all while working nights. Now, she’s not just healthier… she’s unstoppable.”

“At 50, Vicki was training hard but getting nowhere. After just 7 weeks at The Evolved, she increased her protein, lifted smarter, and unlocked visible abs, a 60kg squat, and her first chin-up. Her secret? Recovery, strength and the right plan.”
“Leni left a clinical rehab gym at 63 to chase a younger more energetic vibe. Now she lifts 40kg, rocks her favourite black skirt to a Goo Goo Dolls concert, and feels 30 years younger. She’s proof that age doesn’t define your limits, strength does.”
